	The Need "Whoever welcomes a child like this in my Name welcomes me."- Matt. 18:5 How bad is it? Time magazine estimates that by the year 2010 it will take 80,000 orphanages housing 500 children each to meet the need. The estimated number of orphaned and abandoned children by 2010 worldwide will be 43 million children. The AIDS epidemic, wars, and extreme poverty have left millions of children without home or family. Yet, every child deserves a hope, a family, and a future. By working with networks of local Christian churches worldwide, many new children’s home can be established. Churches are able to provide the stability, values, and family atmosphere needed for long-term success. "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves... defend the rights of the needy."
