About Us
Hope For Kids, Intl. exists as a non-profit organization under the auspices of the National Heritage Foundation which provides for financial administration and accountability.
Our Background: Hope For Kids, Intl. was founded in 2004 by current director, Gale Ashby. Both Gale and wife, Danna, have been involved in ministry to family and  children for 20 years having pastored a community Christian church for 15 years. Danna owned and directed a child care center for 12 years. In addition to Hope For Kids they operate a general contracting business in Western Washington. Their son, David, is also involved and also works with Youth For A Mission.
Our Mission: In response to God's heart and the pressing world need our goal is to fund the establishment of orphanages in developing countries-homes that will provide loving nurture and development for orphaned and abandoned children. We seek to do so according to the following guidelines:
- We partner with local Christian churches who have a history of reaching children and have the ability to sustain the ongoing operation of the orphanage.
- We provide or help provide the financial resources to construct the building. The local church is responsible for providing the land to locate the facility.
- We encourage a family atmosphere in each home staffed by loving, Christian houseparents, couples with a special capacity to love and nurture children.
- We will partner with other Christian organizations in order to maximize the number of new homes that can be constructed.
Our Motives: In response to God's demonstrated love for us through Christ, we recognize the growing worldwide need to rescue children who have no help or future. Especially in developing countries thousands of orphaned and abandoned children exist, left to roam the streets and be exposed to further exploitation and abuse. In these countries there are few if any organizations to help. By partnering with local Christian churches we are confident that we can make a difference by funding new homes.
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, wholly inspired and without error in all that it declares and is, therefore, is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
- We believe in the one triune God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the virgin birth and the deity of Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, who is also the Son of Man.
- We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross made atonement for the sins of the world, effective for all who repent and believe.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, which insures the resurrection of all believers who have received God's gift of eternal life.
- We believe that Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to the earth a second time to establish His kingdom.
- We believe that man was originally created in the likeness of God, that he fell into sin through the first Adam, and that he is responsible for all sin that causes him to be separated from God and lost eternally.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all who receive Jesus Christ as savior and Lord.
- We believe that Christians are created for good works and are in the world but are separate from it.
- We believe that Christians are to witness for Christ and to preach the gospel to all nations.
